Banning The Exorcist Stops Good Message Getting Through

I am really confused by the Victorian Government's ban on the Good Friday showing of the film The Exorcist.
This film is almost a classic medieval morality play. I doubt if the Vatican film unit could have done a better job in demonstrating the ultimate power of good and righteousness over the power of darkness and evil.
God triumphs and the devil is cast out the window, the child is returned to innocence; the priest, wracked with doubt and guilt over his interpretation of his lack of consideration for his dear departed mother, sacrifices himself to be the vehicle to cast Satan to the pit below.
As a non-believer and generally a Labor supporter, I am ashamed by the shallow pandering by the Premier, Steve Bracks, to the righteous Right who apparently don't know the true meaning of their own folktales and superstitions. Or maybe Bracks hasn't seen the film either?

The Christian church have objected to the showing of the film The Exorcist on Good Friday the day we celebrate the most horrific execution of the Son of God.
We are all offended by this. How could The Exorcist make it worse?
